Good, but far from perfect

Liked: A modern hotel one block from the beach. It is located in a residential and very affluent area, with the grocery stores and restaurants within the walking distance. The upscale Aventura Mall is also quite close by. The room was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen.
Disliked: The breakfast food was cold and tasteless. The public transportation in Florida is awful, and the car traffic is super busy day and night. The beach was full of sea weed and hard to swim in which was the biggest drawback for me. The Fort Lauderdale airport service was awful - a complete shame for the USA - a third world country service and a total shame. When will they care to improve ???

Liked: Very clean, new, breakfast was good with different options daily. Pool was warm. Great locations with walking distance to lots of restaurants. Had some noisy neighbors on both sides at night but staff was quick to respond when we called. Would stay again.

Bad

Disliked: I had a terrible experience booking this hotel. Very bad communication I reserved for two nights weeks prior, received a confirmation number and email confirming. The day of the reservation I received an email 1 hour before check in that my reservation was canceled due to no deposit placed when that was not communicated or mentioned at all when I booked. They did not make an effort to explain the situation or book me a new room. Do not book this hotel.

Liked: It’s was across the street from the beach seemed like at 450 a night it would be beach front.
Disliked: Well here we go! The power went out around 9:00 pm. We had just got up to the upper floors and boom! No tv no nothing. We had to sleep soon because we had booked an early fishing charter. Of course my wife was freaking out and we got little sleep due to the fact the power was completely out for several hours. After we asked for at least a partial refund we were completely ignored by management.
