Very disappointing

Called and was told that the charge was for “incidentals” to hold our room, even though the Booking.com listing clearly stated that it was “pay at property”Wednesday - Arrive at checkin and was told my total was told that there would be an additional $561 charge for room, resort fee, and incidentals. When I asked about the charge that posted on Monday I was told that it was for our first night. After this incident, she called her manager over (Qu) and I prompted him to tell me what all I would be and have been charged for. After asking MULTIPLE times I bluntly asked him what the FULL total was going to be, including all fees and incidental charges. He then told me that in FULL the total was going to be $400. I, again, assured that this was going to be the full and final charge and was told that it was.Wednesday night - Fire alarm went off at 4 am and was then told that it was “broken” after an incident on the 16th floor and someone was going to come fix it.Friday - After waking, I had noticed that the comforter we were given (and slept with) still had dried blood stains along the top of the comforter and a large spot right by the top right corner.It was not only disgusting to see after already using the blankets and after we informed housekeeping, we then left our room for lunch .

Disliked: 1. The housekeeping team was unprofessional. They moved personal belongings (including clothes and underwear) around the room at their own discretion and placed them in unsanitary locations, such as an old bench by the bed. Each day, they would forget to provide something - we had to contact the front desk multiple times to request dishwasher pods, shower caps, towels, and other essentials. Additionally, the housekeeping staff was excessively loud; we were woken up every day early in the morning by their conversations, loud music, and the noise from their carts. The overall cleaning quality was mediocre - the floors were dirty, with hair from previous guests visible throughout. They did not clean the floors during our stay, and we had to request a change of bed covers ourselves.2. Although they claim this is a hotel with an equipped kitchen, it felt as if they didn’t want guests to actually use it. The condition of the utensils was poor - even after we requested another cutting board and frying pan, we ultimately had to purchase them ourselves. We also had to buy dishwasher pods on our own.3. Elevator wait time was too long due to the fact that elevator #3 was not functioning. 4. The temperature at the front desk area was extremely cold - we felt as if we were standing in a refrigerator. On one occasion, while waiting another five minutes for the elevator in the lobby, we asked the front desk staff to adjust the temperature. They rolled their eyes in surprise and ultimately ignored our request.5. Beach umbrellas are not included in the resort fee, and the pricing increases each year - currently, guests are to pay $28 per day for an umbrella

Overall, good trip
Liked: The room was big and nice. The breakfast was better than what we thought. Pool area was good. One of the bartender was fantastic.
Disliked: The only option was valet parking and the paper we received at check-in said, to text 10 minutes before needing the car but that was worthless. Your front desk or valet personnel didn't know the policy that you have given your customers to follow.

Liked: The kitchenette, the pool, breakfast, daily cocktails, beach amenities, friendly staff.
Disliked: They should be recycling.
