Residence Inn by Marriott Marina del Rey Guest Reviews

Modern and relaxed, the Residence Inn by Marriott Marina del Rey is a stylish all-suite hotel tucked between Venice Beach and Marina Del Rey. With a breezy coastal vibe, it’s perfect for unwinding after a night out—yet still close enough to LA’s top music venues and nightlife. Only 5 miles from LAX and just a short walk from the beach, it's a great home base for music lovers who want sandy toes by day and setlists by night.
This hotel is a favorite for fans heading to shows in Venice, Santa Monica, or even downtown LA thanks to its walkable location and quick access to rideshares. The peaceful marina setting means you can sleep soundly post-concert—far enough from the noise, but not from the action. Late check-in (from 4 PM) is flexible for travelers arriving just before the encore, and the 24-hour front desk is always ready to help you get settled. Free bikes make getting around easy, especially for nearby beachside venues.
Whether you’re grabbing a late bite or brunching after a night out, you’re covered here. The hotel has an on-site restaurant and bar, plus 24/7 front desk assistance for snacks and essentials. Several walkable eateries line the marina, and with in-room kitchenettes available in select rooms, you can heat up leftovers or prep a quick bite. Breakfast is available on-site, perfect for those slower mornings post-show.
While the hotel itself leans more chill than club, it features a laid-back bar for evening drinks. You're also within easy reach of Venice Beach nightlife, including casual lounges, beach bars, and live music spots. Santa Monica’s vibrant scene is just a short drive or rideshare away.
While the hotel is close to the beach, it’s a bit removed from downtown LA venues—so plan ahead for concert transportation. Parking is available but comes with a nightly fee, which some guests find a bit steep. Also, while there's no formal room service, the kitchenette and nearby dining more than make up for it.
Residence Inn by Marriott Marina del Rey is a laid-back, beachside base that gives concert-goers a peaceful place to recharge—without missing out on the action.

Disappointing
Liked: Clean and enough room for you bags and clothes
Disliked: They charged me for parking 130$ but I never had a car, so basically they just robbed me, I was rushing to the airport and didn’t have time to complain

Very good
Liked: Staff, inclusive breakfast, marina location, cleanliness, bar area was nice.
Disliked: Room sold as water view which is disingenuous. If you try you can see one small corner of the marina. Staff even acknowledged that this was a stretch. Felt like the room was mis-sold.

Not worth the money
Liked: We stayed at this property about 2 years ago and it was not as nice as the last time.
Disliked: Fewer amenities in room - no body lotion, bottled water etc. Towels were worn and thin. The facility now charges a $20 resort fee which is not included in the booking.com rate. This place is far from a resort!
