Exceptional

Would not stay here unless...

Liked: Booking sucks for sure. The place is nice. The crowd and location terrible and odd
Disliked: Odd people staying. Some people look homeless. Some are foreigners some are business people

Our stay was fun and...

Liked: Breakfast was very delicious! The night time bonfire was fun to sit around. The hotel was very close to the building we needed to go to the next day, great restaurants and beaches nearby. We drove the Venice beach to see the canals.
Disliked: There was a bit of an unpleasant conversation with the manager checking us in. My 5 year old needed to use the restroom while we checked in and the manager refused to answer my question after I asked 3 different times regarding where the lobby restroom was. We had driven 3 hours to get to the hotel and my 5 yr needed to pee. I had already given the manager my id and my name. I sternly told him the urgency and he finally told me where it was. The room was nice and clean but had allergies flare up - maybe dog hair in the circulating in the a/c. We were on the first floor and there were dogs in other rooms on the same floor.

Exceptional

Liked: Breakfast was delicious.
Disliked: The room price was a little expensive.

Passable

Liked: The staff was friendly and helpful. I have no complaints against them.
Disliked: The hotel gave a slightly shabby impression. There was a strange smell everywhere - probably cleaning products/disinfectants. The room smelled of cigarettes (!?) The view from the room was directly into the homeless shelter. The breakfast was simply awful. Absolutely poor choice of food (why are there no cheese, ham, vegetables?).
