Practical stay next to LAX

Liked: Location right next to the airport, free shuttle including at 5AM.Fitness center, room for 5, practical and clean

Not a nice hotel.

Liked: It is well located and the staff are friendly
Disliked: Soiled sheets, dated and smelly room, unsolicited visit to room from maintenance who insisted on coming in, faulty air conditioning meaning room uncomfortably hot. Also - breakfast with foam plates and plastic cutlery at a Marriott?!

Disliked: Weak air conditioning, very hot in the room

No AC

Liked: Room was nice and large. Kitchen was nice.
Disliked: Like many other hotels nowadays, they try and trick you into thinking you can control the air conditioning. I was traveling to have heart surgery to correct a serious condition and I cannot handle heat. I swell up significantly and it is uncomfortable and actually dangerous for me. When we got to our room it was warm. We tried to turn the thermostat down but it wouldn't go below 68. The room temp was 79. I inquired about this at the front desk and was told not to worry that the room would cool and that it was a "motion detector" thermostat. I went back to the room and we waited hours but still remained at 79. I called downstairs and they sent up an AC tech who verified there was an issue with the AC/thermostat. They moved us to a new room. And it was exactly the same thing. Because all their rooms are centrally controlled for temperature and your room will NOT cool lower than 72-79. Because of my condition and given the fact we booked with Booking we could not change hotels and just had to live with this. I do NOT recommend you stay here if you want a cool room. By the way, the temperature outside in the hallways and common areas was very cool. But not inside the rooms. And the air temperature outside was significantly lower than inside the room. Why can't they just allow outside air in to cool the rooms? Not good for the price we paid for 3 nights, which was quite high. Also parking in a parking garage is 50 plus $$ in addition to room and taxes. Breakfast was meh too.
