Overall I would still recommend...
Liked: I really liked the location and walking distance to the tube. I liked the British breakfast offered every day. Breakfast had a lot of variety.
Disliked: The 2nd elevator was not working, so during most of our stay we had to use the stairwell.Housekeeping took so very long to give us our extra bedding for the sofa bed when we checked in. Had to call front desk as a reminder and also had to go down to front desk to request the bedding when wanting to finally go to bed.

Poor. I can forgive certain...
Liked: Location for exploring around Kensington is perfect, close walk to Earls Court Tube station and good facilities nearby
Disliked: Our stay was marred by issues, staying during the recent heatwave led to many issues. Mainly the AC within many of the rooms weren’t working, therefore guests were being moved to allow them to have some respite and comfort. However none of this was explained during check in. So when we arrived at 3pm to check in, we were told our room wasn’t ready as they were "busy", we were told to wait, which we dutifully did. But after an hour waiting in a hot reception area, I managed to speak to a manager who explained the issues with the AC. I obviously understood but seeing as we had now waited over an hour I was keen to get to our room, as we had plans to go out later that afternoon. Eventually a room wasn’t found, however the AC within this room was not operating well, but at least comfortable to get out of the heat. We also had no amenities within our shower room (shower gel/shampoo and soap all missing). We made the reception staff aware of this when leaving later that afternoon, but ultimately nothing was done about it. Many of the staff weren’t very friendly or helpful, but I understand with the heat many were hot, but it make for a very pleasant stay.Ultimately we would not look to return, as no apology/discount was offered for the any of the issues we had mentioned. The hotel facilities I would argue are 3 stars at best, and for the money there are much better hotels in the area which offer far better value for money.

Disliked: My reservation had been cancelled and I hadn’t received notification of this or refund but with no time as going to a concert I hadn’t received notification no option but to pay more money for smaller room with broken air conditioning. Just really poor service
