Residence Inn by Marriott Dana Point San Juan Capistrano

We thought the hotel was very nice. We felt the additional $12.00 fee to park in the parking lot was ridiculous .

Good

Liked: All round great but spa was not working. Delayed response just before July 4th. Many customers not happy. Staff did everything but management needs to have parts and maintenance staff to fix within hours, not days.
Disliked: Spa not working.

Nice stay while in town...

Liked: We enjoyed the suite style room and two bedrooms. We also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast.
Disliked: No housekeeping came, and it was disappointing.

Horrible Location

Liked: The location is bad. Surrounded by roads/highway with high traffic. Views on the Costco. The noice of our neighbors’ AC was almost unbearable at night. Breakfast (complimentary) was very basic. Will never go back (especially with the price charged!).

Great for a quick night...

Liked: Amazing staff, great coffee and breakfast available. Bed was very comfortable and room was spacious. Staff let us know about the train noise in advance.
Disliked: AC unit in the room was really loud. We couldn’t sleep with it running, but it was able to cool the room quickly so we ran it before bed.

Liked: Breakfast was good, many choices
Disliked: Did not like that we had to pay$20/night for parking. Did not see that when booking on booking.com and would have chosen a different property if we knew that.
