Liked: The hotel and breakfast were very nice. The staff was quite pleasant as well. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The kitchen and fireplace were a very nice touch.
Disliked: The pool and hot tub were closed.The water pressure could be a bit better in the showers. Other than that, everything else was very good.

Hotel is very nice. Room...

Liked: Breakfast was good, staff very friendly, room was large and clean!
Disliked: The $75 pet fee was high, compared to other hotels on our trip.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet...

Liked: Friendly staff, clean hotel/rooms, comfortable bed, refrig if you need it, spacious with plenty of desk room. Parking close to rooms. Quiet surroundings ensured a good night of sleep despite it being New Year's Eve!
Disliked: I only bring this up as an option for market leadership to consider: offering healthier breakfast options. I prefer healthier food selections like organic fruit, organic whole fat yogurt (the only yogurt had fruit at the bottom- a sugar explosion), healthy fats like avocado, steel cut over instant oatmeal, pasture-raised eggs. Perhaps the hotel can offer a "Residence Plus" option for those willing to spend a little more without having to drive into downtown Columbia. For what this hotel advertised (and for the market it attracts), and for what is in the control of the staff on-site, it completely met my expectations. If you like all the benefits I mentioned and prefer the biscuits-gravy style of breakfast, you'll really enjoy your stay.
