Residence Inn by Marriott Amarillo

Great location, great value!

Liked: Great location, great price. I had to book 2 rooms, so I was looking for a cheap but decent place, and this fit the bill. It was nicer than decent - older but everything was nice and clean.
Disliked: Bathrooms could use an update - they were kind of dingy but not unclean.

Lock on door was not...

Disliked: Maintenance was poor

Would not recommend.

Liked: Location, floor plan of room, friendly staff, decent breakfast.
Disliked: Dirty, pet hair all over stairs and in room, bug on bed. Kitchen drawer only had 2 forks- no other silverware. Hide a bed was so uncomfortable- could feel springs in back. Main bed had greasy headboard. Cleanliness is an issue.

Bad Choice!

Liked: The night I arrived the staff was pleasant and pool stays open until 12am! Great location, close to anything and everything you may need as a traveler.
Disliked: The 2 bed room king suite I got for my family of 5 was so dirty we were down to 1 bed. Blood stain on one bed and a plate of food smashed in and under the couch pull out (which we were counting on using). We got in late so to tired to deal with what should not have been an issue. Next morning I got laughed at by the Assistant General Manager, meaning this happens all the time and she said she was not surprised! Not only did she add insult to injury but I was also told I had booked through a 3rd Party and so there was nothing she could do, little did she know she had a former Hotel GM standing in front of her and knew what kind of pull a GM has to make complaints of that degree correct! All I can say is shame on you for your work ethic this morning Assistant General Manager!
