Skipton is a delightful traditional market town and is known as the Gateway to the Dales. Room key did not work...

Liked: The conservatory at the back
Disliked: The bed, the lack of bar staff, the fact that the kitchen could not accommodate more than 19 diners

Stunning location, comfortable stay and...

Liked: Location and parking was great. Easy access into Skipton.
Disliked: A bit of colour in the room. A picture on the wall and bed cushion (ie finishing touches). However I was very pleased with the hotel and staff. X

Liked: Location was lovely
Disliked: Told breakfast was £12 when we asked so we booked it (8 of us).when we went down for breakfast in the morning they tried to charge us £17. Told them but they wouldn't have it . We went down 1 hour before breakfast was due to finish and there was nothing left ask the manager he said it's closing down. Said he would try and get us something but this took forever and everything was cold by then. The manager's attitude was awful. What a same this spoiled the whole weekend.

Disappointing

Liked: Plenty of parking and the location for us was useful
Disliked: The staff were disinterested and rude, when we asked questions about the availability of food and the state of the room. The room was spacious but was not particularly clean, dirt on the carpet, the mugs and teaspoons had not been washed, stains in the bathtroom and it looked as though someone had rolled on the bed, it was lumpy and creased. Has a very worn out feel and stale smell, the heavy fire doors make a lot of noise when opened/closed making for a disturbed sleep when other guests go to their rooms.
