Had a relaxing stay while we went to the Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion. Everyone was nice. The entire place was clean. Very nice rooms. Would stay here again.

Liked: Close to venue.
Disliked: Had to pay to park.

We love this hotel and use if when we go to the Norfolk area. Everyone is nice, we love the area and it's close to the Portsmouth concert venue. It's clean and the view is fantastic.

Poor

Liked: The first night there, the television didn’t work. The second day the staff told me they were gonna move us to another room. When we packed up and went to the next room, that room was wasn’t cleaned or the TV wasn’t working. I think we wasted a lot of time of moving.

Liked: Clean and spacious room.
Disliked: My room was not available at check in time (4 pm); the front desk was able to provide a definite time that my room would be cleaned and available. I called hotel twice and my room was ready until street 8 pm. Also the TV had no signal and I was unable to watch TV. The hotel stated that they would deduct the price for inconvenience once I informed booking company to contact hotel directly at 757-673-3000.

Anticipated more from a Marriott...

Liked: Location was good. Near the venues and nice area to walk around.
Disliked: Didn't like the garage being detached form the hotel, was a long walk to check in desk and long walk to elevator to our rooms. A bit dated inside and inside the rooms. Some of the lights were flickering and wiring panels by the bed were unattached tot he wall. Beds were a bit hard. The refrigerator wasn't cold and no way to adjust it. Just expected more from a Marriott property.

Liked: Breakfast wasn’t included, which is INSANE considering the price of the room. We got a complimentary breakfast, (after I had to complain) and it was not worth the price tag of free.
