Why Concert-goers love it

With its prime location in the Theater District and just a short walk from major music venues and the Loop's nightlife, this hotel is a favorite among fans catching a show. Food and Drink Options

There's no shortage of great eats here. The hotel features a coffee bar in the lobby for pre-show pick-me-ups, and a rooftop bar with cocktails and city views for post-show wind-downs. While there's no mention of 24/7 room service, the surrounding area is packed with late-night dining spots, and breakfast options are available on-site for those slow mornings.

Nightlife Options

From the rooftop bar overlooking Chicago’s famed architecture to the buzzing bars and lounges within walking distance, your night doesn’t have to end when the encore does. You're also just minutes from the Riverwalk and some of the city's best-known nightlife areas.

What People Say

  • Guests love the central location—perfect for walking to shows, restaurants, and shops
  • Fans appreciate the friendly staff and smooth check-in process
  • Many highlight the rooftop bar as a must-visit for evening drinks

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that while the hotel is in a busy area, occasional street noise can filter in—so if you're a very light sleeper, pack earplugs just in case. Also, parking is available but on the pricier side (as is common in downtown Chicago).

The Bottom Line

This hotel offers concert-goers a perfect mix of style, location, and comfort, just steps away from Chicago's vibrant music and nightlife scene.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Deborah, Decatur, visiting Nederlander Theatre Chicago

Liked: The hotel is a beautiful with great amenities. Staff very helpful and the room was very nice. My daughter and I came to Chicago to see Wicked. It was a close walk to the theater. If it wasn't for all the loud noise that kept us up most of the night, I would have rated the hotel excellent. It was just disappointing to not get the rest we'd hoped for.
Disliked: We had to call security around 1:00 AM as there was a loud thumping of techno-type music and we could hear people like there was a party going on. Don't believe it was on our floor but above our below. It finally stopped and then some very loud women were in the room next to us and talked loudly and banged things around until around 3:00 AM.

Great location ...

Liked: We stayed in a river view room which was very nice. The back of the hotel faces the El Train - BE IN THE KNOW!
Disliked: The bathroom door was annoying - heavy with automatic closure. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and no non-slip mats were given for the tub. The tub was slippery and dangerous. Housekeeping was skimpy on the amenities; we called every day for extra towels. Given the heat wave Chicago was experiencing we wanted to use the pool. The hotel has an indoor pool; however, the temperature of the enclosed area was above 100 degrees so it was unhealthy and impossible to use the pool.

Overall enjoyed it, great location...

Liked: Location great, room very good.
Disliked: Toilet too low and single sink inconvenient. Valet way too expensive even for Chicago at $88 per night and they wanted $15 a day for wifi.
