Liked: It is great to see this classic art deco hotel returned to its former glory. Out room was large, clean, and modern. The public areas of the hotel were enjoyable. The view up to the state capitol is impressive. The hotel is centrally located for exploring downtown Albany. The parking was easy and convenient.

Disliked: No water in the room or at reception. Reception staff directed us to the bar. 2 small bottles of water $10.80 total rip off. Next morning discovered a cabinet tucked away at end of reception where water was $3 also found a water dispensing machine neither of which did the reception tell us about.

Disliked: It was just ok. I purchased 4 rooms for my family and I as we were there to attend a wedding. We were also celebrating our sister’s cancer remission. I let the hotel know in advance. I was truly expecting that they have something brought to her room, but no!!This cost me $4,200.00 for 4 days, 3 nights. One guest had a flight cancellation and couldn’t make the first night. Needless to say, I was still charged for that night. The hotel didn’t even provide bottle water in the room. I had to purchase the water bottles!! We had to track down the maid to change our sheets on the second night. She told us that we weren’t schedule for a room cleaning. Our towels were never changed. If you’re looking for any conveniences, you won’t find them here. This “luxury” hotel doesn’t offer any bellhop services, salons, spa or dry cleaning services (as advertised on their website). It has only 1 restaurant, which is high priced with mediocre dining. I had breakfast with my brother. He had an English muffin and I had wheat toast, we both had 1 cup of coffee, that’s it. It cost $16.00 before tip.
