Relais Chateaux Camden Harbour Inn

It was a nice stay...

Liked: The breakfast was complimentary and excellent.
Disliked: We were not told about the stairs in the property whereby our room was on the upper level. My husband has a bad ankle and it was extremely challenging. The stairs were extremely narrow and small and we had a difficult time navigating without holding on the rail and walking sideways down them. They also had balding carpet on the stairs that looked cheap, contributed to less traction and truly which was not the level of a Relais and Chateau. The bathroom was new and contemporary however they did not have a grab bar in the shower which would have been helpful as the shower had no surface grip on the floor.

Dutch twist in a traditional...

Liked: Location was walkable to town and harbor
Disliked: Didn’t love the decor or the fact that all the rooms were named after Dutch colonies and all the staff seemed to be perhaps from colonized countries so it didn’t play well in this modern era -felt very tone deaf to me

Excellent service quality, fine hotel...

Liked: Excellent service. Great rooms, lovely sweets bar. Camden is gorgeous and well worth a long detour
Disliked: Steep stairs to room, limited choices in a la carte menu if you are eating multiple nights
