Good for a night or...

Liked: Nice staff, good atmosphere, relatively central
Disliked: It is a fine place for a night or three, but after that you will probably start to notice the lack in sleep (maybe unless you are in the annex) as it is very noisy from either traffic, guests, staff working until late, or trucks coming in with groceries, to empty the trash or empty all the bottles in the morning. The last one happened 07.45 (and it was like 15 minutes of glass bottles smashing) after the staff had to (most probably) work overtime because of football EM being shown, and they were outside working until 02.00 at night. And the doors are so noisy, better pray that you do not have someone in the room next to you that goes in and out during the night. The bathrooms could be cleaner. It is apparent that the owners prioritize the bar guests, and not the hotel guests.

Liked: The room was clean and spacious. The big amount of bathrooms, so you don't need to wait long for your turn.
Disliked: The lack of the personal hygiene products including hair shampoo, shower gel etc. But maybe it is normal cause it is hostel.

Liked: Superb location, good breakfast buffet, nice atmosphere and courtyard for breakfast or drinks in the evening.
Disliked: I've stayed at youth hostels and various kinds of simple accommodation many times, in Nordic, Southern European and Asian countries, and I am usually happy with a comfy bed and friendly staff, as long as the place where I sleep and put my stuff is somewhat clean. But this was a disappointment regarding cleanliness. The floor wasn't even vacuumed once we arrived. We kindly asked the staff to clean the floor, but even after they did so, there were still lots of stains left, stains that we eventually removed ourselves with wet tissues. Linen was clean but the mattresses were stained and I can't understand why they wouldn't invest in mattress protections. Shared bathrooms and toilets were not cleaned daily as one would expect as they were shared between several guests. Toilet seats were loose, and dirty (i.e. brown smears on the OUTSIDE), hangers missing in the shower area. Once hangers were installed, dust from the drilling was left on the floor for several days. Its a shame for an otherwise nice place to stay, but the overall impression of the cleaning was unfortunately lower than what you'd expect, even for a cheaper hotel/hostel.

Great place to stay if...

Liked: Great place to stay if you are traveling on a budget and don't need luxury. The location is great, the staff is very friendly, the courtyard bar is nice and the room is clean and cute.
