Superb

A grand old hotel opposite...

Liked: It is a very grand hotel. The breakfast was excellent.. The bathroom was a good size.. The bed was very comfortable. Nice to have a Nespresso machine in the room.Staff were very professional. The concierge at reception gave us very useful local advice about transport passes and where to go in the city.
Disliked: No luggage rack in the room.The medium queen room is quite small. Not really suitable for anyone with big luggage.The hotel is quite expensive but perhaps that's normal for Hamburg. It was a summer weekend.

Disliked: Would have ideally liked a kettle in the room, but there was a coffee maker that could produce hot water, so no big deal

Liked: Great location near the train station, friendly service, clean room, comfortable beds.

Liked: Fantastic welcoming staff always meeting you with a smile and goes out of their way to answer your queries. Loved the toiletries!

Liked: Friendly & accommodating staff. Easy to get to by train from the airport. Everything is in walking distance. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We got a fantastic deal on Booking.com.

Liked: The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the appearance and general condition of the hotel were extremely impressive, and the room was quiet, very comfortable and nicely appointed. The breakfast was absolutely first-rate! The hotel was very conveniently situated for us, just near the railway station.
Disliked: We would have liked to have eaten in the hotel restaurant in the evening (after a long train journey), but the options on the menu were rather heavy. Some big salads would have suited us better - having sampled their breakfast, we know the chef and kitchen staff would have done them well.
