Liked: The hotel was next to the train station.
Disliked: Do not stay here! The reception agent was the most rude, scary and unstable person I have ever encountered in 40 years and 130 countries of travel. He was screaming at me, mostly because I don't speak German (no one working at the hotel spoke a word of English) but he even screamed at the woman behind me and she spoke German. He seemed very emotionally fragile and I was afraid he was going to become violent. I recommend staying anywhere else in this charming town. The hotel had sent me an email at 10am saying my room was ready. Yet when I arrived at 11am the reception clerk said the room would not be ready until 3pm. This was on Christmas Eve and it was obvious from no cars in the parking lot and no one visible in the hotel during my 3 days there that the hotel was practically empty. The rooms have paper thin walls and my bed was more like a cot so the place seemed much more like a hostel than a hotel. My room was supposed to have a city view yet my room looked out over an abandoned building, the railroad tracks and a parking lot. It's right next to the train station but there are charming hotels with character in the town center.

Horrible beds and very bad...

Liked: Rooms were clean. Location was fine, close to train station and relative close of downtown. Breakfast was very basic but ok.
Disliked: Beds were horrible to sleep on it. They need to improve customer services, some people in reception need to find another job, one night we just tried to ask about possibilities to leave the room after 11 a.m, even if we need to pay extra for it but that person answered NO, NO, NO, 11 a.m you have to be out with a very nasty aptitud. We would have been happy with just a simple polite response."We apologise but this is not possible", besides we don't speak German very well but we were trying very hard to communicate since this person say that doesn't speak English and even in the descriptions and comment of the hotel saying that they speak German and English, this is false. I have been on hotels with much better services and lower prices, this hotel is too expensive for the poor service that provide.

Liked: The room was very comfortable and pleasant. The breakfast was tasty with lots and lots of dishes to choose from.

Liked: My room:Bed was really comfy. Room was clean. Bathroom spotless. Even had a kettle and coffees and teas for you. This was perfect.Room had a comfy chair. Big desk. Large tv.Staff were all really friendly and helpful.Location:Hotel has a good car park for guests. Easy to get in and out of.The hotel itself is in a nice spot.If you are wanting to go on the steam train, then the station is literally next door. The train departs from platform 3. And you pay on the train (at time of writing)To get to the old town turned out to only be a 5 minute walk. If I come back to Quedlinburg in the future then i’d defiantly come back here.
