Beautiful hotel that exceeds expectations

Liked: Our experience exceeded expectations. Room was comfortable with ample space for all personal belongings. The desk was very helpful too. Bathroom was spacious and well equipped. Everything was spotlessly clean all the time and all equipment was in 100% working order. Staff behaved very friendly and made us feel welcome. They were prepared to help us at any time. This in particular includes reception, room service which we have used every day, and porters always readily helping us to get a taxi. Breakfast was superb, tasty and good choice. The ambience and superb service makes this hotel one of the best we have ever been during many years of our travel and we will be more than happy to recommend it to everybody travelling to Berlin.

Beyond my expectations

Liked: The property and the facilities are old, for this value a renovation is definitely required especially for the rooms - carpets, curtains etc
Disliked: Staff made a lot of mistakes, first of all although we arrived later than the check in time, they made us wait as the room was not ready. On the second day, our room was not cleaned until we asked them to do so which was around 13. The lady at the reception told us that the house keeping was so busy hence the delay, such an unacceptable response from a hotel like Regent, the business of HK is so not our problem as we expect our room to be cleaned on time. Last but not least, I asked for laundry service, when I got my clothes back, there was an extra socks which are not belonged to me, I asked the team to collect it back to give those to their owners. Such mistakes might seem small but for a hotel like Regent and for the price we paid, I found those unacceptable and will not stay there again.
