Lovely warm welcome and helpful...
Liked: Although the room/suite was old-fashioned (not in the cute Victoriana way the rest of the town is), it was very clean and functional. The kitchen was surprisingly well-equipped, the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have slept in on my trip up the west coast, and the shower was good. Having experienced some awful grab and go breakfasts, we were really pleasantly surprised by the croissant, yoghurt, cheese, jam and fruit in this breakfast box. The place is managed by the Victorian Hotel, which is in the next block. The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly, helpful and efficient - they really made our stay.
Disliked: If you’re looking for a more quaint Victorian experience, pay the extra and stay in the big hotel.

Charming Inn with friendly staff...
Liked: The breakfast and the lady at the bar was so lovely. Anthony at reception was friendly. The Inn had a nice ambience.
Disliked: The kitchen in the upstairs room had a great many ants on the counters. We were apparently moved to these rooms because of ants in our booked rooms. The dinner ( for three) had nice starters, but the fish and chips x2 were both horribly overcooked... a hard batter shell with only a little very very skinny filet inside. The organic chicken was not cooked to gently falling off the bone, but tough and red on the bone. Honestly the boxed breakfast was much more tasty. Such a big disappointment.
