Beautiful historic hotel with amazing...

Liked: The hotel is historic and beautiful. Rooms were tastefully decorated and we loved the rooftop bar. The staff was exceptionally friendly. Although, they only had valet parking, public parking was visible and convenient from the entrance.
Disliked: The hotel is old so noise is definitely an issue. We forgot our fan so we could hear everything. We were at the end of the hallway so I cant imagine being close to the elevators. It would probably be fine with a noise machine or fan running. There's really nothing they can do, due to the age of the building, but we could hear the elevators every time they moved. We could also hear the other guests doors whenever they were closed. It wouldn't deter us from staying again, but I wanted to mention to anyone who is sensitive to these things.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Anton Fri, 1 August 2025

Frustrating.

Liked: Great staff. So hardworking and accommodating.
Disliked: Tv didn't work. Outlet charging my phone went out. No hot water or water pressure on the second day. Those weird half door showers and water was all over the bathroom floor. Elevator broke so only one worked. The cafe was not open either day and I stayed there bc I knew I could get breakfast before the bar exam. Last day one valet for about 30 guests. Poor guy was running his ass off. That is a management issue. Amazing staff. But whoever manages this hotel needs to step up.

Terrible experience.

Liked: The maintenance and valet workers were the only genuine and nice workers.
Disliked: Long story short I got there with my group and had cash to pay. They gave me an option and that’s how I knew. I wanted to pay with cash because it was cheaper that way the lady at the desk was so ugly to me. She literally asked me after she told me no cash, Do you not have any money?” And was smacking on some barbecue chips. She was so disrespectful and was saying things as like well we just don’t do it blah blah blah with no real answers. and she said they took cash at checkout but not check in mind you I came three hours away and took out cash specifically because it told me it would be cheaper. The rooms literally had no clean linens. The towels had old makeup on from the previous people and the sheets had stains on them and so did the comforters. The location is the only thing good about this hotel.

Pleasant

Liked: I appreciated the hotel's location, as it was conveniently situated near the venue of the event I was attending. I also appreciated the rooftop views from the hotel, along with enjoying a few cocktails.
Disliked: The check-in experience could be improved to create a more welcome atmosphere for guests. When I arrived, the hotel clerk did not appear friendly and gave the impression that my presence was inconvenient. I also noticed similar interactions with the guests ahead of me in line. A more positive and engaging approach during check-in would enhance the overall guest experience.

Pleasant

Liked: I liked the proximity to Linn Park
Disliked: The elevator was super slow...minimal staff working which made dinner and drinks inconvenient and slow. Our room was better fit for an elderly couple or someone needing additional assistance and it smelled odd. I did bring lysol. My third year traveling for the same event and not happy at all with these accommodations and I paid excessively more for this stay

Totally disappointed!!

Liked: Nothing at all!
Disliked: I didn't like that this hotel was given a 4 star rating. This hotel is old and smells like mold. At the most, this is a 1 star hotel. Booking.com should be ashamed to even have this hotel as an option. Nobody wants to stay in a runned down crappy place like this.
