Need and cheap; clean room with very friendly staff; close to the beach. Rodeway Inn is the place to go; I'm a huge, nice, 5 star resort guy but they met my liking by being friendly and having very clean rooms.
Liked: Friendly staff; clean room.
Disliked: Room was outdated but very clean.

I was a little leery after reading the reviews for this hotel, but had booked based on price anyway. I had a friend stay somewhere that cost twice as much, and yes it was newer and cleaner, but didn't have a kitchen or the space that we did. Nice hot shower water, mostly friendly staff, lots of room. Two things we found weird were that the staff called to tell us our parking pass wasn't in our car - we checked around the car, then finally went to purchase a 2nd one for the $50 fee and they said "well, we found it earlier and here it is..." Not sure why they didn't say that in the first place. Another strange thing was that one day when we came back, we saw we had one bed had been made and the other was left unmade. We didn't mind but it was just odd. All in all, we will definitely stay here again if the rates stay the same. Just bring some Clorox wipes.
Liked: Lots of parking, pool, spacious room.
Disliked: Out of date, a little dirty.

Liked: With respect to price, it is good, but the breakfast room is too tight and limited options. The AC is very disturbing when it starts to run due to noise.
Disliked: The AC system is very noisy.

Great location, clean, great staff;...
Liked: Clean room, great location, good parking, wonderful staff. Basic room set up. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: The set-up of the free breakfast and area left quite a bit to be desired. The breakfast times were awful, ending at 9AM, even on a weekend. The food was okay - basic. The toasters are strange - lots of burned toast on the way to figuring it out. The room is too hot, and has poor traffic flow. Not as big as it looks in the picture. There's never enough room in a hotel breakfast area, but there's usually an overflow area in the lobby. Since this breakfast area is separate from the lobby -overcrowding options leave the room - or standing - as the overflow area. Many folks took food back to room, but the room is setup so that the bedroom is in the part with the window, not the "suite (living)" area. I didn't find it attractive to eat in the suite living area (though the living room area is good for hanging out, reading, TV). also, when I select a hotel with breakfast I want to get out of the room and eat it in the breakfast area. All that said, I have seen worse and it did work out.

Bring your earplugs and sleep...
Liked: Rooms were a decent size with two TVs. The rooms also had a mini fridge and microwave, which seems to be more and more uncommon nowadays. Walking distance to the beach wasn't bad at all. Only about 10 minutes and two blocks.
Disliked: The booking said "Seaside", but it was not. It faced the parking lot and road, which was highly disappointing. There is no seal around the doors so you can see daylight. It also allows you to hear everything anyone is saying out in the walkway. It gets loud too, especially after folks have been drinking. The beds are right next to the large window by the door, too. So pray you get a room that the curtains close completely, for privacy. Parking is at your own risk in their parking garage, because it's so small and tight. Definitely a no-go if you have a quad cab truck, or large van. Also, Red Roof is known for their pet friendly policies; however, for some reason this location does not allow pets which we didn't learn until after booking. Not sure why they don't? There's no carpet in the rooms.
