Need and cheap; clean room with very friendly staff; close to the beach. Rodeway Inn is the place to go; I'm a huge, nice, 5 star resort guy but they met my liking by being friendly and having very clean rooms.

I was a little leery after reading the reviews for this hotel, but had booked based on price anyway. I had a friend stay somewhere that cost twice as much, and yes it was newer and cleaner, but didn't have a kitchen or the space that we did. Nice hot shower water, mostly friendly staff, lots of room. Two things we found weird were that the staff called to tell us our parking pass wasn't in our car - we checked around the car, then finally went to purchase a 2nd one for the $50 fee and they said "well, we found it earlier and here it is..." Not sure why they didn't say that in the first place. Another strange thing was that one day when we came back, we saw we had one bed had been made and the other was left unmade. We didn't mind but it was just odd. All in all, we will definitely stay here again if the rates stay the same. Just bring some Clorox wipes.

Liked: I arrived 45 minutes early and they allowed me get into the room, after a long 7 hour journey. The rooms are very clean, have all the facilities, elevator, internet, 2 TVs, good beds, renovated bathroom, vinyl flooring. Very fair price.
Disliked: the access to the rooms are external, so in the winter it is not good, you leave your room directly exposed to the cold. That’s the only thing.

Disliked: This was my first time here in Virginia Beach, The bed was so hard and uncomfortable my lower back hurt the next morning I wanted to leave but my family was enjoying the Beach. I would not stay here again unless they have softer beds in rooms.

Disliked: People are crack heads surrounding you I was threatened if I didn’t give up my trolly half loaded because a white crack head wanted me to put my stuff back in my car so she could use it, then continued to pace me and call me “triffly” and that I had white privilege. She had two luggage’s with wheels on first floor. I had groceries and luggage’s on 5th floor. Access to car garage is not easy to navigate.

Liked: Bed was really comfortable, queen room size is perfect for even 6 people.
Disliked: Since there is no breakfast option, I would recommend a table with 2-3 chairs to have the possibility to sit down and make my own breakfast or a quick dinner.And a broom would be useful. You can not avoid to bring a lot of sand into the room.

Liked: the staff was very welcoming and nice. the room was beautiful and we travelled with another couple with a different room but they still tried their best to keep us together. the location was great all we had to do was walk outside and you were on the boardwalk.
Disliked: on the second night of our stay there was a group of teenagers that for some reason wanted to hang out outside of my room at 1am. they were very loud and we asked them to stop so they moved towards the other couple we were staying with. the pool was also closed and i was under the impression it would be open.
