Red Roof PLUS & Suites Virginia Beach - Seaside

Need and cheap; clean room with very friendly staff; close to the beach. Rodeway Inn is the place to go; I'm a huge, nice, 5 star resort guy but they met my liking by being friendly and having very clean rooms.

I was a little leery after reading the reviews for this hotel, but had booked based on price anyway. I had a friend stay somewhere that cost twice as much, and yes it was newer and cleaner, but didn't have a kitchen or the space that we did. Nice hot shower water, mostly friendly staff, lots of room. Two things we found weird were that the staff called to tell us our parking pass wasn't in our car - we checked around the car, then finally went to purchase a 2nd one for the $50 fee and they said "well, we found it earlier and here it is..." Not sure why they didn't say that in the first place. Another strange thing was that one day when we came back, we saw we had one bed had been made and the other was left unmade. We didn't mind but it was just odd. All in all, we will definitely stay here again if the rates stay the same. Just bring some Clorox wipes.

Liked: Lots of parking, pool, spacious room.
Disliked: Out of date, a little dirty.

Liked: Staff was super nice, had a small issue management fixed it and accommodated quickly will def be returning to this property

Functional

Liked: Staff member gave us an extra set of linen to make up the sofa bed, meaning all three of us could have our own bed. Another staff member ensured we had a fairly quiet room. Swimming pool was lovely, enjoyed the waffles at breakfast, aircon worked, shower was good. Near the beach and restaurants. Recommendations Mahis restaurant.
Disliked: Felt like we were staying in a multi-storey car park. Hotel is unattractive, breakfast room is far too small for the number of guests. Noise from the street is pronounced. Price seems dear for the standard of hotel.

Disliked: The swimming pool closed at 10 which is to early. Breakfast is from 6-9 and is to early.
