Overall a 7.0 stay for...

Liked: I loved how close it was located to downtown Lexington, without being bombarded by noise and traffic.
Disliked: A/C was broken, as well as smoke detector hanging from ceiling. Window was also broken and could not be opened within the room. No elevator.

I had to travel unexpectedly...

Liked: Night staff had a gentleman that was very kind, apologetic and thoughtful. When we could not get beverages from the vending machine due to low or no stock he gave us some bottled water. Otherwise the option was to drive to the nearest gas station. That's about all I can put here.
Disliked: First-- NO breakfast and your booking.com site states there is a continental breakfast. One jug of coffee and hot water in the lobby which was empty by 9 and not refilled. 2 Vending machines that were close to empty during the whole stay. They were never filled. 2 soda machines, one of which was mostly empty and the other was empty the whole stay. They were never filled. Expected someone would change towels but had to go to the front desk for clean towels. Was told to throw our towels out in the hallway so cleaning would see that we needed them. (Really??) We did that and found a plastic bag of two towels, hand towels, and wash cloths laying outside the door in the hallway when we returned from our day out. (very odd) Room had refrigerator in need of a defrost and a small micro wave which appeared to be taped together (although it did work). 2 floors and no elevator so dragging a heavy bag upstairs and downstairs was a bit of a challenge. Windows so dirty on the outside that looking outside to see anything was not an option. There are smoking rooms in the hotel and even though we had a non smoking room those odors did permeate through to our room during the evening. I would NOT have booked a room in the hotel had I known it permitted smoking anywhere. I wish that was stated more clearly in the booking service.
