Liked: it was the only room we could find.The TV worked
Disliked: To say this property was sketchy is an understatement. Think "flop house" or a place someone might rent by the hour - it would be a more apt description.- A large strip of the black rubber toe molding was hand stapled and still hanging off the bottom of the wall.- There was a cloth chair that was stained beyond repair. I moved it away from the bed only to step in a wet spot it was covering beside the bed. I shudder to think what bodily fluids were on the carpet and chair. I had socks on and threw them away.- The commode rocked back and forth was a little unsettling.-Someone attempted to repair the electric outlet in bath area using some form of brown adhesive all around the outlet cover instead of screws.- The heat did not work in the room (no one mentioned this to us when checking in). We found a small room heater in room.- The phone did not work.- As nonsmokers the distinct odor of stale cigarette smoke was so bad i moved our garmet bags back to our vehicle, so our clothes didn't stink the next day.- The door safety chain was broken. The information panel on the door was gone and a piece of wood had been placed there. (a repair?). The outside of the door appeared to have been kicked several times. Several of the doors near us had similar markings with one having what appeared to be holes.- The mattress had seen better centuries. I tried to check for bedbugs, but the room was to dark (one lamp). The sheets and comforter were threadbare, and you could almost see through them.This facility was so bad we considered driving the 3 hours home and returning for graduation ceremonies the next morning.Upon arrival the individual next to us asked if we had been inside our room. She said it was a "piece of S". I can only imagine her room.Hopefully this is not the way all Red Roof Inns managed. If you are in the area and want to check my notes above check out room #127. Liked: it was conveniently located
Disliked: The mattress was hard, when we pulled back the duvet cover the sheets had hair on them and looked like dirt or possibly really dingy. Went to the front to tell staff and no one to be found. Tried going to the front twice and no one there. Also half our lamps didnt work and when we pulled bed out a little to try plug found that plug was major fire hazzard and found a babies toy back there, this only once proved the cleanliness of the hotel was very less than desirable
