Disliked: The bathroom was full of mold on the ceiling and walls, I went to the front desk to get a different room they were sold out and was told to get a refund thru the booking party, booking party said hotel has to refund. Didn’t get anything accomplished on that end still waiting for the manager to call me. How water was non existent

Highly disappointed & embarrassed.

Disliked: When I told the desk employee that the t.v. in my room didn't work at all, the employee promised a discount bt charged me full price.

It was the scariest and...

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: There were bugs in the bed, blood on the wall, the door lock was broken off, there was teeth marks in both nightstands, the AC was completely strained yellow, the towels had wet purple spots on them and there was a bullet hole in the wall. How this place hasn’t been shutdown is beyond me. I walked in and immediately went to the front desk for a refund but they said I’d have to call back another day. I did a charge back and never looked back.

three nights at motel, shopping...

Liked: I liked walking access to shopping within 2-mile radius -- many malls and shops, many cafes and restaurants -- many interesting streets with yard sales - easy to walk on sidewalks, very good bus transportation from O'Hare and east to Lake Michigan -- I went to Gillson Park, beach and big waves
Disliked: too many cars in the area - people think 'car' = 'humanity' -- almost like California

It is a decent place...

Liked: It was pretty quiet , a small restaurant next door , easy walk from the train station from Chicago
Disliked: The receptionist who signed us in said our hotel number out loud when other people were in the lobby. I’ve worked in hotels before and know this is a big no ! I assumed she was nervous because right before we checked in , the receptionist had been arguing with another customer who was yelling at the receptionist. When we got in to the room, it gave motel 6 vibes. The lamps were dirty where you turn the on and off. The tv was broken as well . We had no where else to stay so it was alright for the time being.
