Good for one night and...

Liked: Location -quiet neighborhood close to downtown Black Mountain shops and restaurants.
Disliked: No one to greet or help us when we arrived. Only phone number to call and didn’t see it at first until we asked a border. Very few people there early season. Had hoped for more overtly welcoming a nd friendly place.

Stay at the Red Rocker...

Liked: Beautiful suite with fireplace. Violet the innkeeper was superb. Friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. She also cooked us a wonderful breakfast.
Disliked: Nothing. One suggestion would be to get robes for the rooms.

Overall we enjoyed our stay....

Liked: Breakfast was good in all, just wish they had some pastries. location was excellent to downtown, walkable. we enjoyed the quietness of the location. we enjoyed sitting out on the porch and having wine.
Disliked: The property could use some more TLC. Bushes and plants around the house could look betted. Bathroom was dated and tight.
