Red Lion Hotel Portland Airport

We were quite late checking in. I called at 11:00 pm to apologize for late arrival. The front desk clerk was very friendly, assuring me he was early awaiting our arrival. We were given helpful suggestions/directions for a late dinner. After we returned and had gone up to our room, the front desk clerk called to let us know that the hotel driver had noticed our dome light was on. Saved us a dead battery! I will return whenever I have need for a hotel in Portland.

Liked: Friendly staff; very comfortable beds.
Disliked: None, really.

Be sure to ask about...

Liked: It was a quiet room, and was pretty clean, it served our purposes for having to get up very early to catch a flight.
Disliked: Well we get there and then told that we owe an additional $10.00 for parking. They should advise that up front before booking there. Also my Wife fell out of bed and hit her head on the nightstand cutting her head right above her eye. So she had a black eye for our entire trip/vacation. Not the best way to start a vacation.

This place is good for...

Liked: All the staff was nice. Liked the shuttle to the airport. The room is older but its decent.
Disliked: Get new mattresses and use matress covers. Change and wash covers, sheets, pillow cases after every guest stay. Put some type of bug repelant in the room because there was a spider in my room the first night. They need gluten free snack options in the store. No pool access. I had to ask for extra towels no service to my room.

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is quiet. Free airport shuttle is good.
Disliked: No elevator. No free water bottle filling station. No water in the exercise room. No breakfast or restaurant.

Getting really run down

Liked: The proximity to the airport is why I have stayed here.
Disliked: The room had ants in the bathroom and the coffee maker was disgusting. I've stayed here 6 or 7 times and each time it is getting worse. This will be my last stay.
