A lovely quiet house with...

Liked: Friendly introduction when we arrived, good facilities, self service 'bar' was reasonably priced, swimming pool was excellent and opened for us at 7:15am. Liked all guests sitting at same breakfast table as we met and spoke with some interesting folk. Breakfast well served by polite and attentive staff, the fresh fruit salad was excellent!
Disliked: The pastries at breakfast were not up to the standard of the rest of the breakfast. Some of the decoration in the room was looking a little tired.

Charming and peaceful

Liked: We enjoyed the country setting, the grounds, the breakfast, the history and most of all the effort put in by the host. Our room was lovely, with lots of little touches and style. Breakfast was very enjoyable. We would definitely recommend a visit.
