The Spotlight on Ravna Gora

Classic London Charm Just Steps from the Tube

Ravna Gora is a charming, budget-friendly bed and breakfast set in a classic period townhouse in West London. With its mix of traditional décor and updated executive rooms, it offers a cozy base for visitors looking to explore the city—and catch a show. Located less than a minute’s walk from Holland Park Underground Station and close to Notting Hill Gate, the hotel blends old-school character with unbeatable access to London’s top music venues.

Why Concert-goers love it

You can’t beat the location—being just steps from the Central Line means fast, direct tube access to legendary venues across London like the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire and even further to the O2 Arena or Camden. After a late-night gig, getting back is easy and safe. The hotel’s 14:00 check-in time and 11:00 check-out give you a bit of flexibility around show schedules. While it’s not ultra-modern, it’s quiet enough for a restful sleep after a loud night out.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends looking for affordable London digs
Solo travelers who want easy transport and no-fuss comfort
Couples planning a weekend escape with a concert highlight
Fans who need a calm space to recover post-show
Budget-conscious music lovers wanting a central base without the high prices

Food and Drink Options

While there’s no on-site restaurant, Ravna Gora is surrounded by walkable dining options in Notting Hill and Holland Park, many of which stay open late. You’ll also find plenty of cafés nearby for a leisurely breakfast after a late night. There’s no 24/7 room service, but with so much right outside the door, you won’t go hungry.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself is more peaceful than party, you’re just a short ride away from some of London’s best nightlife. Whether it’s bars in Notting Hill, a gig at a local venue, or a late-night cocktail lounge, your options are endless—and easily reachable by tube.

What People Say

Guests consistently praise the unbeatable location, especially for those wanting quick access to gigs and sightseeing. The hotel’s character and cleanliness also get high marks, along with its affordability in a prime area. Reviewers love the easy access to Portobello Market and Hyde Park too.

Areas for Improvement

Some rooms have shared bathrooms, which might not suit everyone. The décor in non-executive rooms leans more traditional than trendy, and there's no elevator, so pack light if you're on an upper floor. Still, most guests find these trade-offs worth it for the location and price.

The Bottom Line

Ravna Gora is a solid pick for concert-goers seeking a central, charming, and affordable stay with fast access to London’s top venues.

Passable

Disliked: It says there is parking on booking but when you arrive they ask you for 20 pounds extra for parking. Plus you have the option when you book a room to choose a room with a toilet in the room you get there and they ask you to pay extra to have a room with a toilet.

Convenient location and clean room,...

Liked: The property had a fairly good location and was easily accessible by public transport, the staff were rather helpful but need to improve on customer experience, the rooms and bathroom were clean
Disliked: I would like to share some feedback on our recent stay:1.The room allocated was too small for 3 adults, which made our stay uncomfortable.2.The in-room heater was not functioning, and we had to rely on a portable heater borrowed from reception.3.The luggage handling process was very inconvenient. We initially had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the reception. Later, we realised the lift reached the basement, which connects directly to the staircase entrance. However, the receptionist refused to allow us to use this more practical route. This defeats the purpose of having a lift and reflects poorly on customer service.4.The lift was extremely small, with capacity for only 2 persons and 2 pieces of luggage at a time.I believe these issues, especially point 3 regarding guest service and convenience, need to be addressed to improve future guests’ experience

Location is great. It's suitable...

Liked: The room is clean. I chose a suite to make my stay more comfortable. Although it's small, it's still a pleasant room to stay. The location is great, just a short walk from Holland park station, and conveniently close to a Tesco supermarket for shopping.
Disliked: Breakfast is decent but simple—e.g., bread, cheese, ham, milk, juice, tea.The selection is almost the same every day, so if you're staying more than three days, it can get a bit monotonous. The hotel is located right next to a busy street. Although I was aware of the potential traffic noise before booking, the actual noise level exceeded my expectations. It seems difficult to resolve this issue. If you prefer a quiet night's sleep, this place may not be the best choice.
