Liked: Great hotel Only checked in late and kitchen was shut but the staff looked after me well the man Sammy from Turkey made sure I was fed with a nice steak and chips even after the chef had cleaned the kitchen.
Disliked: Bar shut at 9:30 not a problem though still managed 3 pints before bed

Liked: Food and staff and a wonderful location
Disliked: Property in need of TLC looking shabby but hopefully the new owners will invest

Liked: Period features throughout were nice, including the open log fire.
Disliked: The place, in general, needed a good bit of TLC. The rooms were quite run down and some of the equipment didn’t work within them. They were also a little noisy but overall, comfortable it a little dated. The breakfast in the morning was OK, though didn’t expect the ‘fabulous’ breakfast, promised

Liked: A lovely hotel in very peaceful surroundings with extremely friendly staff and very easy connections to A14
Disliked: Nothing very happy

Disappointing

Liked: The hotel is very dated, and creaky and leaky. It was probably a lovely hotel about 30 years ago, but it hasn’t been changed since.

Food was very good but...

Liked: The individuality of the building
Disliked: The room was too hot, which made it uncomfortable to sleep. Lack of toiletries.
