Disliked: Old.and dated..misleading as looked although was in the raven pub..bit like an old care home with the same smell too

Satisfied with my stay as...

Liked: Nice single room up flights of stairs overlooking the car park towards the railway station. A fan was already running in my room as the outside temperature was 32 degrees. Good size bathroom with bath and shower. Tea/coffee/ Kettle on hand.Pleasant old Tudor building with several floors. Loved the breakfast option of smoked salmon and eggs of my choice. Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Evening meal of scampi was sparse and the tables needed refurbishing. Several small staircases to negotiate.

Not Ideal For Sleep In...

Liked: Bar food was excellent, as was the service there.
Disliked: Room was quite small, no air con with outside temp 30'C.Just a fan to circulate warm air.No milk or creamer, only 1 sugar.So having a hot drink in room wasn't ideal.

Liked: Staff very friendly.
Disliked: The hotel was very frayed/tired. Needs updating, decorating. The bath/shower needs updating, couldn't use properly, trying to get warm shower water, meant standing in very hot bath water, no happy medium. Forgot to tell anyone, as reception is not always manned.
