Disliked: Lights around pool didn’t work which stopped us using it in the eveningDue to the building being subsided the bed was also, and we kept rolling offNo staff on arrival and not until 11am the next day but insisted we checked in even though we had paid in advance. As you can imagine this spoilt the first day of a short trip

Quirky and comfortable

Liked: The property was located in a mostly quiet residential area that was an easy walk to the French quarter. It was very clean, the bathroom looked new, the beds very comfortable and we had a kitchenette with microwave, fridge, coffee facilities, sink and small dining table, they also had coffee, water and a few grab and go items downstairs. The staff were really friendly and helpful, when we asked for our room clean they sent an email for us to let them know our preferred time. The pool area was lovely and was nice to sit for an hour in the evening. The parking and property was secure.
Disliked: We had a couple of issues during our stay, the toilet roll holder fell off but only due to a loose grub screw and was fixed within 24 hrs. The sink in the bathroom was slow to drain, we reported it but although maintenance came it was not resolved during our stay. The room had flaky paint on the ceiling in places and I think a little tlc in places wouldn’t go a miss. We couldn’t find the pool lights even though it was open till midnight, it was fine but would have been nice to have the string lights on.

Liked: No breakfast available. Just a snack (fruit/bar) and coffee at reception. We were staying at the Louis Armstrong suite and it was perfect! That suite is at the main building where the reception and the pool is. We parked in front of the building for free. Kind and Friendly staff at reception! We walked everything (mainly to French quarter)

Liked: We loved the pool space. So unique and inviting. The room itself was very cute and cozy.

A beautiful, old mansion with...

Liked: The apartment was excellent! Very big, comfortable bed. The bathroom was lovely and clean. We also liked the pool and hot tub. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk from Bourbon Street, so it was very accessible, but away from all the action.
Disliked: The breakfast was the only thing that was disappointing. There is porridge, fruit and coffee but not much more.
