Good

Wouldn't stay here again, there's...

Disliked: House was adequate but very sterile & basic facilities, furnishings. Not inviting, no sofa, no Freeview TV, no washing machine or dryer. Not very private, not much of a view. No games or books. Website didn't show which photos related to the cottage vs the front house.

It was a lovely place...

Liked: It was a lovely place to stay, tidy and clean with a view out to the ocean.
Disliked: We couldn't get freeview on the tv.

Perfect for our needs!

Liked: I had the best sleep I have had in a long time. It was very quiet, warm and very accessible. Away from the hustle and bustle! The facilities were perfect for our needs. We enjoyed hanging out in the lounge area as there was plenty of room!

Cozy and Comfortable cottage!

Liked: We stayed in the Rata Cottage and loved it. So cozy and comfortable.

Wonderful West Coast Retreat

Liked: Very peaceful location with a short drive to Punakaiki Rocks. Tidy cottage with good supply in kitchen and great shower water pressure.
Disliked: Limited view being behind the Rata building as described, able to use outside lawn space and seating at building for sunset though.

Perfect for an overnight stop

Liked: Clean comfortable accommodation which suited our needs
Disliked: We could not get any channels on the tv

Superb

Liked: Very nice location for a trip up the Northwest coast of South Island. Close to beaches and Pancake Rocks. A good base to head further up the coast to Cape Foulwind where we saw the seals. It actually could take 4 people but we only had 2.
Disliked: Our cottage was right behind another, so we didn't have a view from inside the place.

Liked: Simple cottage with plenty of facilities. Beautiful location. Comfortable beds.
Disliked: Basic and a bit dated here and there. No decent views from the cottage. No extractor hood in the kitchen.
