Ratagan Youth Hostel

Loved our stay here.

Liked: The location of this youth hostel is stunning. It is surrounded by gorgeous mountains on every side. A walker's dream! You can sit in the window of the comfy sitting room and watch the clouds roll over the hill tops. The view is constantly changing, unless you are there when the sky is completely blue. It is right on the loch, and when you go to sleep at night, from the family room you can hear the little burn. The garden is beautifully kept, with sweet peas, a bright blue hydrangea and bird feeders, plus benches and a table to sit at. You are not far from the Isle of Skye but the local area is so lovely that you may find yourself spending more time near the youth hostel than on Skye!

3 days connecting the green...

Liked: - The hostel is located in front of the the sea, inside the fjord: you can see a spectacular view in front of it, connecting with the green and blue in peace of mind; one of the best view i've ever seen!!- Towel is included in price, there is lot of space to park the car and there is a good breakfast for only 6 pounds (tea and coffe are free).- Rooms and beds are almost new and the share living room is very beautiful, with the view of the fjord: you can write a memory in a book too.- Every bed has his own little space to charge phone with usb attach too and a little light! - Kindness of the boy that manages the hostel!!- Skye island isn't so far
Disliked: - I'm very tall (2m) and beds are minor with the panel at the bottom, so it isn't so confortable....but for a person until 1.90m is perfect.- No lockers, but you don't need it.

Liked: Rooms, Kitchen and bathrooms are very clean. specially Kitchen. Well organized and very clean. Beside the lake adds an serene touch to it.

Liked: The place has exceptional view!!! The room is very cosy and comfortable. The bathroom and toilet are clean even though it is on sharing basis. Recommended!!!
