Ranchland Villa Motel

All was pretty good, good...

Liked: The location is excellent, the owner gave us an upgrade, so we stayed in a room with kitchenette.
Disliked: Not applicable

Disliked: Pas très propre.Blood stains on sheet, ask the manager to change them and nothing happened. He doesn’t speak or understand English

Pleasant

Liked: Bedding excellent. Appreciated the crockery and cutlery provided. Air con worked but very noisy.
Disliked: Loud mechanical or machinery noise woke me up most nights. Smoking and ashtrays from neighbours below my window made it hard to open window for fresh air. I moved them but they returned.

Need better understanding of english...

Liked: Location was okay, needed to be close to other family members I was travelling with.
Disliked: The front desk worker kept asking if we were traveling together, my sister booked the room and I was the one staying in the room, asked at least 3 times, was told no smoking in the room at least 3 times too and told him didn't smoke. Had to really be firm with him and finally told him "NO I don't smoke and I am only one staying in the room" Made me pay $145 and good thing my sister checked her email confirmation from booking.com and it was paid through her credit card at $123, gave $160 cash and only received $150 back!

Liked: beds were super comfortable but box springs needed to be cleaned as well as some of the floor in disrepair -
Disliked: Sketchy other patrons staying at the location were very suspicious. Bathroom needs repair and maintenance.

OK if you aren't picky...

Liked: The bed was clean and comfortable, hotel allows pets so I could bring my work dog. Good heating & A/C. Clean bath towels, good wifi and TV. Staff have very strong accent which can be hard to understand but they are kind and helpful.
Disliked: Little to no utensils ,minimal dishes, dirty dishes put back in drawer , floor was uneven, no dish towels, no dish soap. There was long hair in the bathtub when we arrived. Sketchy people around this part of Merritt, knocking on our doors and being noisy. Some dude and a chick were blasting music and drinking outside our room in a vehicle, in back alley behind hotel property, from 1am to 4 am , couldn't sleep from the noise. Not hotels issue as not on their property but not a pleasant experience.
