Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Virginia Beach

We really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of most of the staff members, particularly Debbie at the front desk and Evone in the dining area, as well as Kiwi Ben the bartender. We would definitely stay here again! :)

Liked: We very much appreciated that the hotel staff moved us to a quieter room and when we alerted them to the fact that our air conditioner did not work throughout the night, they had someone there right away.
Disliked: Noise from other vacationers and the smell of smoke in the hallway. Our room also got very hot during the night with no air conditioning.

Disliked: Wasn't very clean. No towels or toilet paper upon arrival

Disliked: Room was not swept before we arrived. No shower curtain or towels. Registration took over an hour. Only 2 employees registering guest while what looked like the manager did nothing. Shower was scalding hot. Would have really hurt a small child or elderly person. Had to come back because first fix did not work. Could not adjust temperature after that. It was still too hot but not scalding. Homeless person was in the business center charging his scooter and changing clothes. Back door was broken so you couldn't enter after 10 and had to walk around to the front door.

Liked: I love the location of this hotel and had no problems with my room. The staff was friendly and responsive to anything I needed.
Disliked: I think the room keys should tell you not to place them near your cell phone or credit cards— as this can easily cause them to malfunction.

Liked: The hotel was within walking distance of everything. It was nice to just park your car and walk everywhere you go. It was right on the beach.
Disliked: There seemed to be some staffing shortages there. There went a daily housekeeping available. There weren’t any clean towels when I got to my room.
