Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Calgary Downtown

It was a good experience, but you must go outside the hotel to buy food on weekends or anytime after 7:00 pm.

Liked: Safe and neat environment.
Disliked: There was no Fridge nor microwave in the room. No bottle of water to drink. Guests pay higher rate than close by public parking lots.

Liked: Located near the venue of my Graduation Ceremony.

Stayed for a week; staff were excellent; front desk was welcoming and efficient on arrival and most helpful throughout the week. The room was clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Housekeeping was friendly and did a good job keeping the room clean and tidy - always left lots of towels and supplies. Would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Liked: Location; staff; price.
Disliked: There wasn't a fridge in the room but that's not really a negative because one just had to ask and one would be delivered to the room.

I am glad I get a chance to write a review because I need everyone to know to stay away from this hotel and I will be very vocal with all my social media contacts about my experience at this despicable hotel.

Liked: Don't have anything positive to say about the Ramada - very dirty and horrible staff.
Disliked: Staff were not helpful at all; very dirty hotel and not accommodating at all; won't be back.

Liked: The room was really nice, bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and the staff made our bed everyday!!!
Disliked: The outdoor pool is so beautiful, loved the set up and access. The pool was so cold you couldn’t use it. Our room was very hot stayed at 25 degrees our whole stay, we turned down the thermostat without any effect.

Liked: Very good and would have given higher score if the room would have been warmer. Had to ask for heater.
Disliked: Cold in room

Disappointing

Liked: Good location, clean room, comfy bed.
Disliked: Poor wifi connection - unable to use at all and it seems the staff are unable to help/fix the problem.It's very important to have wifi connection especially for overseas visitors.As a Wyndham owner, I never had any issues with wifi except this time!

Expensive for what you get

Liked: Valet was alright, staff listened if they answered the phone.
Disliked: Narrow entrance/exit for parking. Parking is billed separately on top of your stay. Key cards for room would periodically fail and would need to be reactivated.

Ok for a short stay.

Liked: Location is good.
Disliked: It is expensive for what it offers. And takes you back to a different era. The staff is what I didn't like the most. Unfriendly and weird.
