Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Calgary Downtown

It was a good experience, but you must go outside the hotel to buy food on weekends or anytime after 7:00 pm.

Liked: Safe and neat environment.
Disliked: There was no Fridge nor microwave in the room. No bottle of water to drink. Guests pay higher rate than close by public parking lots.

Liked: Located near the venue of my Graduation Ceremony.

Stayed for a week; staff were excellent; front desk was welcoming and efficient on arrival and most helpful throughout the week. The room was clean with comfortable beds and pillows. Housekeeping was friendly and did a good job keeping the room clean and tidy - always left lots of towels and supplies. Would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again.

Liked: Location; staff; price.
Disliked: There wasn't a fridge in the room but that's not really a negative because one just had to ask and one would be delivered to the room.

I am glad I get a chance to write a review because I need everyone to know to stay away from this hotel and I will be very vocal with all my social media contacts about my experience at this despicable hotel.

Liked: Don't have anything positive to say about the Ramada - very dirty and horrible staff.
Disliked: Staff were not helpful at all; very dirty hotel and not accommodating at all; won't be back.

It does the job, but...

Liked: The room was fine, and there was indoor parking, which made me feel more at ease since the area didn't seem very safe at night. The staff was rather indifferent, but they resolved.
Disliked: The room always smelled of cigarettes (even though smoking is not allowed). Breakfast was a disappointment. There was a menu with four different options, but if you had a food allergy or none of the options suited you, there weren't many other options.The staff couldn't provide a solution to this issue.

Disliked: No slippers provided. I arrived at almost midnight no one is available in the front desk. I was charged twice when i did the online checkin and the front office guy swiped my card again when i arrived. I messaged that i will be late for checkin and i got a response the following day when i already checkout. Haha

Research before you stay

Liked: Good downtown location. The room was nice. Everything was in a good condition.
Disliked: The rooms are a bit outdated with old TVs showing only TV channels. The breakfast information on booking is misleading as it says that breakfast is included in price but you have to pay for it.

Good location and clean, pet...

Liked: It was clean in the unit. Valet parking is available for an extra charge otherwise - street parking.
Disliked: I choose breakfast to be included but I had to ask for coupon the next day. Coupon said I can either do buffet or order from menu, but inly buffet has been offered.Also if you stay on weekends, note that there is club next to the hotel, so it is pretty loud till 2am even with closed windows.
