Deborah, Philadelphia, visiting Bryce Jordan Center

Stayed here overnight from Philadelphia for a concert. Two double beds; very clean; very friendly; surprisingly nice indoor pool and surprisingly very good food at the restaurant on the premises. No need to go anywhere else. Had a really nice time. Will certainly be staying here the next time I go for a game or concert.

Liked: Clean; friendly; restaurant on premises; great indoor pool.

The location and staff were...

Liked: The location was convenient for Uber and bus. Distance to campus/downtown/Vairo was good for a short ride.
Disliked: Luggage had to be brought out from lobby around the end and then carried up to the first floor. Also, there was no variation in the breakfast menu in the 6 nights of stay.

My stay was fine. I...

Liked: The bed was comfortable, but I did note stains on the sheets (they did appear clean otherwise). It was a good location.
Disliked: I had hoped to use the fitness center, but the equipment was not functional at all. I was very disappointed. I did not experience breakfast because it wasn't even available two of the days and I had no idea where it was located within the hotel. My room was close to the pool and it was very loud at times.

Clean and comfortable rooms

Liked: Maintenance had to come and he was exceptional
Disliked: Thin walls, I could hear the people next door talking and coughing like they were in the room with us

Poor - 1.0 out of 5

This would be the last...

Liked: The location was pretty much all that had going for the hotel. It is not far from Penn State and as such, provides a very short drive to campus.
Disliked: The floor of the room we were given was dirty. The bedroom and bathroom both smelled musty and perhaps, while we didn't see any physical evidence of it, moldy. The lighting in the room, which had no external windows, was very dim. The staff were agreeable, but not very forthcoming or even appearing interested that they had guests.

Liked: Staff tried to be helpful.
Disliked: Sent to two dirty rooms with trash/ unmade bed/ old food in refrigerator, loud noises, old facilities.

We hated it here.

Liked: Just proximity to where I needed to be. Other than that, nothing.
Disliked: Outdated, dirty, loud guests who either would not or could not be controlled by ineffective staff. Room smelled bad. Cigarette smoke lingered everywhere.

Poor - 0.5 out of 5

Terrible

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: Hotel was extremely dirty, the halls of the hotel seem like it had never been vacuumed, there was a pack of condoms in the nightstand draw that my 11 yr old found, the bathroom was filthy and falling apart.
