Excellent location. Friendly staff.
Liked: Excellent location right in Cathedral quarter, so close to bars/retaurants and easy access to bus stops. Bus from airport stops in Queens Square a few minutes walk from hotel. Room comfortable with good bathroom facilities. Staff very helpful. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Very warm on 5th floor despite window being open with heating off as no way to control temperature in room.

Disliked: I booked a 4-night stay for two people (2 separate bookings, £600), but the service and standards were extremely disappointing.From the start, only one set of towels was provided despite the booking being for two. When I called reception, I was told to collect the extra towels myself. The bathroom had no extraction fan and not even a toilet brush.The laundry service was unacceptable. I specifically confirmed it would be ready the next day, but it wasn’t delivered. When I chased it up, I was handed back my laundry unwashed. After further discussion, I was told it wouldn’t be available until the following evening. Eventually, it was returned late the next morning, but in a ball, wrinkled, and not folded or ironed. Shockingly, cleaning rags from the staff were mixed in with my clothes.Housekeeping standards were equally poor. Bed sheets and pillowcases were never changed during my entire stay (only tucked in), and there was chewing gum stuck to a pillowcase. Rubbish was not removed from the room, and a blanket at the foot of the bed had visible brown stains.Noise was also a major issue. One night, a party in the room next door woke us at 3:45am. Reception didn’t answer the phone (the receiver was left off the hook), and only after repeated attempts did security come to knock on the door. The room was overcrowded, and there was no soundproofing at all between the conjoining doors.When I raised these issues at checkout, the receptionist’s only response was: “If you’d like to stay with us again, please email us.”No meaningful apology, no accountability, and not even a refund for the so-called “laundry service.”Overall, this hotel delivered some of the lowest standards of service I’ve experienced. This hotel is overpriced, unhygienic, and appallingly managed. For the price paid, it was completely unacceptable.The staff clearly don’t care, and the service is well below even budget standards. Save yourself the frustration and do not stay here.
