Staff Need More Training

Liked: Beds were comfortable, room was big enough for 2 adults and 1 toddler
Disliked: Staff needs further training/understanding of hotel policies, particularly with cribs. We booked this hotel knowing that a crib was provided. This was confirmed to us by both the hotel website and our Booking.com correspondence. However, when we arrived at our room, the front desk told us that they didn't have cribs. Not that they were out, but that the hotel doesn't have any cribs - which was shocking to us since we specifically chose this hotel for the crib availability. Instead, after multiple requests from the front desk to confirm with management, we were definitively told the hotel has no cribs. Because of this, we had to make a trip to Walmart and purchase a $50 pack n Play and $30 sheets just so that our 2 year old daughter could sleep in her own bed. Much to our frustration, 2 days into our stay, we saw a crib in the hallway from a room that was being cleaned. This was incredibly frustrating as we had to spend $80 based on the front desk concierge's assertion that the hotel had no cribs, not that there were none available, which is an entirely different issue. I understand there was likely a language barrier involved here with the concierge, and there were other larger families that were likely using cribs, but this was unacceptable. Our crib request was confirmed and granted weeks ahead of time when we booked, but we were told upon arrival that there were none available for us. The concierge was certainly kind with us and not demeaning, but it should have been communicated to us that there were no cribs available well before our arrival, as we could have brought our own Pack and Play, and there wouldn't have been any issues.
