Disliked: My recent stay at the Ramada in Edmonton was, unfortunately, an experience I won't soon forget – all for the wrong reasons. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a scene that was far from welcoming, with garbage piled in the hallways that had clearly been left there for days. This set the tone for my three-night stay.The cleanliness of the hotel was simply unacceptable. The carpets throughout the property were filthy, and the floors were sticky. The hallway near my room emitted an unpleasant odor reminiscent of cat spray. It was hard to shake the feeling of being in a neglected environment. To make matters worse, there were piles of towels left strewn about the hall, which added to the overall disheveled appearance of the place.In our executive room, the condition of the furniture was particularly disappointing. The chair was shredded, presumably by cat claws. The walls were dirty, and there were smears on the mirrors that had obviously not been attended to. It felt as though the room had seen better days – many, many days ago.I had hoped for a more pleasant experience, but I felt trapped due to the busy weekend and the fact that I had already paid for my stay. I would have otherwise checked out early.Overall, my experience at Ramada Edmonton was gross and unacceptable. I strongly recommend seeking alternative accommodations if you value cleanliness and comfort. This was a disappointing stay that did not meet even the most basic expectations of a hotel.
