Good place, spacious, good value...

Liked: Place was very clean
Disliked: The staff. The staff at reception was inflexible and illogical about our group checking in. Never understood our request. We had to fix it ourselves. The staff at the restaurant took ages to take orders and serve food despite the place being nearly empty.

Disliked: Request on 3 or more occassions both in person, through booking.com and email for a tax invoice, was told it needed to be supplied by booking.com, which is incorrect and still awaiting the invoice now 2 weeks later.

Close to Canberra station. Nice...

Liked: The Sri Lankan curry was absolutely amazing
Disliked: All the pillows on the bed were the same thickness - no variations.

Great hotel that was close...

Liked: Great location and close to all of Canberra’s main attractions, very friendly and efficient staff. The hotel really lives up to its name with that statesman feel about!
Disliked: Bathrooms could do with some modernisation. They were tired looking but clean and functional. And the lounges were very impressive looking but a little uncomfortable from an ergonomic perspective.
