Ramada by Wyndham Costa Mesa/Newport Beach

Clean; quiet; helpful staff. I’d stay here again - very friendly.

Disliked: Someone scratched my car door in your parking lot. Didn’t notice as when I left it was dark.

The Ramada by Wyndham was okay aside from the fact that it was very musty smelling. We probably should have requested another room but were short on time so we just stayed in the room we were assigned.

Liked: The location of the hotel was very convenient for attending a show at the Tiki Bar.
Disliked: The room was super musty smelling.

Liked: Got us a cab van to load gear for a gig. Nothing I can really complain about. I got a room on the floor I wanted and all was gravy. I'd come again.
Disliked: They had called me a cab to the show a half mile away, but wouldn't call a cab for us back. That was a little weird, since I was staying there. But no real complaints otherwise.

Liked: The bed was comfortable. The ac worked. That's it.
Disliked: The toilet could NOT have had a bunch of hair floating in it. The toilet could have NOT had a broken chain in the tank and disconnected water tube that shot up at me when i tried to fix it. It would have been nice to NOT have to take off the tank lid and stick your hand in the water each time you wanted to flush. The wall paper in the sink and bathroom areas were peeling off the wall. It seemed so seedy that we didn't want to step on the carpet without shoes. When the staff was informed upon checkout, there no sorry, no interest, no concern. etc. I thought the name Ramada Wyndom brand meant a certain standard but not at this location. Unfortunate.

Liked: I have stayed here for over 12 years, the staff is always very helpful and friendly. Even though this hotel is older the rooms are comfortable and affordable. The location is perfect.
Disliked: The rooms need to be updated. I would have liked to have a micro wave in the room. The continental breakfast was not very appetizing and needs a bit more variety.

Hidden gem

Liked: Hidden gem. Couldn't ask for a better location, food and shops galore and only a 10 minute bike ride to my favorite beach in Carona Del Mar. Room was enormous, 2 queens, bathub/shower separated from large makeup vanity dress area..Free hot breakfast every morning. Pool hours 9AM to 9PM, would've liked to be swimming by 7AM. Good selection at pools vending ares had the coldest drinks EVER.

Liked: The only positive thing I can say about this property is that it offers free parking! And the room photos on booking.com? Absolutely stunning… too bad they look nothing like the real thing.
Disliked: I stayed at this Ramada Inn recently and was really disappointed. The property feels very run-down and in serious need of renovation. The carpets were stained, furniture was old and worn, and the room has a musty smell when I first checked in. Shower head was broken and drain was half-clogged. Not exactly the type of bathtub you'd want to enjoy a soak after a long day.
