Good value. Busy motorway services

Liked: Good value accommodation. Lovely clean bedding and towels. Pleasant staff. Plentiful breakfast with many options.
Disliked: Unfortunately, the carpet in the room was stained with, I imagine tea and coffee that had been knocked over. However, given the footfall and demand of the venue it didn't really impact on my stay. It might be worthwhile packing a pair of socks to wear whilst in the room.

Ideal for a stopover

Liked: Convenient location; good value, especially for the area; room surprisingly quiet - no traffic noise; other restaurants close by (we went to Pizza Express); friendly guy on reception; room was cool and the duvet not too heavy for a hot August day/night; we discovered that there is a little playground and a pleasant walk at the back of the hotel
Disliked: Like most hotels, you can hear when people are leaving their rooms because it is difficult to close the fire doors quietly and in this instance there were quite a lot of guests leaving very early in the morning (3am/4am), presumably because they were off to Heathrow or Gatwick.
