Disliked: it was closed to the public so we wasn’t allowed to stay and had to find an alternative at the last minute which was very embarrassing for me as I had booked it for 4 of us. it was full of refugees and apparently had been since Dec 2021, I booked it in February 2023 with yourselves so I am looking for some compensation to be honest, not only did we have to pay more but it was just so embarrassing. if someone could email me please as I wish to make a formal complaint, I use beefing. com for all my reservations but may not be doing in the future if I am not happy with the outcome of this debacle. A scam

Liked: Do not stay here - staff did not answer the phone when I phoned to confirm location. When I arrived I was told that the property is no longer a hotel despite me booking a significant time prior through booking.com. Neither the company or the hotel contacted me and I had to pay premium to book a room elsewhere at short notice. Completely ruined my weekend

Disliked: DO NOT BOOK!Hotel is not as advertised - extremely run down, smelt of damp and air conditioning wasn’t working so each room had a small electric plug in convection heater.Other guests were also complaining about the smell & poor condition of the propertyDue to the unacceptable condition of the hotel, I did not stay, was told I wouldn’t be charged, however, I was and had been a fight to get my money back. Before I left the hotel, I asked for email confirmation stating I was not being charged, which I received, but later food out I had! Can I add that the reception staff were very understanding and apologetic, the management not so.it has taken many many phone calls, emails, messages to booking.com and the hotel over a period of 7 weeks before I finally got my money back. booking.com left it up to me to sort it out with the hotel, even though they have the property advertised incorrectly.I have stayed at this hotel many many times when it was owned by previous owners and it was lovely - now it is far from a 3 star rating, In all the years and hotels I have stayed in a hotel with for work and leisure, this is by far the worst I have ever experienced. DO NOT BOOK here!

Disliked: breakfast was awful like cheap frozen stuff. shower was broken and very uncomfortable beds

Liked: The room was clean and the bed comfortable.Staff were friendly.
Disliked: The air-conditioning/heating did not work, the restaurant was closed, we had no hot water on the second morning because the staff did not know how to work the heating.Breakfast was not great quality, the hash browns were still ice cold from the freezer and my black pudding was almost raw.
