Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Airport

The hotel is run down. The room had an old/moldy smell. The hotel need to be demolished and remodeled. Random people hanging outside the hotel so safety is a big issue. I would not recommend this hotel.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Entire hotel.

3 Star hotel. Nothing special.

Liked: Location was relatively close to the venue and the cheap price was a plus. Beds were comfortable. Room included fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean.
Disliked: Older hotel with older smells.

Don’t stay here they lie...

Liked: I called early in the morning and explained my situation. I work at night and I asked for an early check in. I got there around lunchtime. They told me when I called to book the room that they would give me an early check in. I hadn’t slept and live 2 hours away. When I got there after the clerk told me to book the room that they would give me an early check in… he wouldn’t let me check in. So I had to drive 2 hours home with no sleep try to sleep for a Cpl hours and come right back to work. I paid for the room ahead of time so I lost out on $100 too. It was very unprofessional.
Disliked: It stunk and the clerk was rude.

The price is great but...

Liked: How close it is to the airport and the nightly rate
Disliked: The walls have paint puffy due to water leak, there was even condensation under the tv and the room smelled wet. We asked for a new room second floor was better but seems like the improvements made were half assed and not properly made. The ice machine was broken and wifi was not working on either floor. The first room the tub had a hole that was patched up but about to cave in and the walls had visible leaks and easy to move not sturdy.

Nice stay

Liked: Great location close to the airport. Restaurant had great food and the room was clean.

Liked: very basic rooms no cleaning and dirty
Disliked: stink and messy

Liked: The rooms looked nice
Disliked: It was hot as hell, the hallway all the way to the room. The room was scorching hot and it took bout 2 hours for the room to cool down.

Disliked: Filthy nothing was clean. Stains on sheets and towels in bathroom. Hair in sink and shower.

Absolutely do NOT stay here,...

Liked: Property was very run down and short staffed. We booked this place because of its proximity to the airport and free airport shuttle, however we will never stay there again.
Disliked: Pretty much everything was bad about this place. The staff was unfriendly and clearly overworked. The rooms were very small, the pillows on the bed were horrible, half the outlets in the room did not work. The bathroom was dirty, the shower curtain was not hung properly so it would not stay closed and water would fly everywhere. The elevator got stuck with us in it for about 5 mins so we never used the elevator again after that. The breakfast was the saddest excuse for a hot breakfast I have ever seen. We just walked out and didn’t eat. The shuttle does not run on regular intervals. It just runs when the driver feels like it.
