Ramada by Wyndham Birmingham Airport

The hotel is run down. The room had an old/moldy smell. The hotel need to be demolished and remodeled. Random people hanging outside the hotel so safety is a big issue. I would not recommend this hotel.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Entire hotel.

3 Star hotel. Nothing special.

Liked: Location was relatively close to the venue and the cheap price was a plus. Beds were comfortable. Room included fridge and microwave. Bathroom was clean.
Disliked: Older hotel with older smells.

Disliked: Elevators were poorly maintained and one was malfunctioning during my stay between May 30-June 01, 2025.

Disliked: Toilet didn't work. No hot water for the shower. Bedding was stained. Hotel room phone cord was cut. Floor was dirty and sticky. Booked and confirmed a king bed. Was told when I arrived on a double queen room was available. No one was at the desk for check out. Shuttle was supposed to be at 4:30am. Never left until 5:00am making it very close to flight departure.

Liked: Shuttle driver was very nice. Clean room comfortable bed. I enjoyed the free breakfast.

Liked: I liked the fact that the room was clean and the staff was friendly.
Disliked: I did not like the smell of the hotel. There was a point where I believe the staff lit an incense and that smelled great but you could only smell it in the lobby. I also did not like that the room did not have its air on, I had a reservation and I would have liked for the room to be pleasant when I arrived.

Convenient to the airport.

Liked: The key drop made early check out easy. The lady at the front desk was very nice.
Disliked: We went to the room and there were no lights except the bathroom. All the lights were unplugged. Some had no outlet or extension cord. There was no phone to call for help.

Bad

Liked: The hotel smelled. The bedspread had holes. The paint was coming down in the bedroom where there was water damage. The pillows were gross and I felt that the place was very dirty. I wore my flip flops in the shower and in the room. I only slept for 3 hours because I was worried that there would be bed bugs. My son wondering how can a hotel like this even exist. If you are desperate stay here othewise RUN!!! The only remeding quality is the complimentary shuttle.
