Wish I had more time...

Liked: This was a very last minute reservation (I was traveling back to Maine from a dog trial and was exhausted), and needed something reasonably priced that accepted dogs. I had no idea this was a beautifully restored, beautifully maintained historic hotel! So pretty! Very nice front desk. Well appointed upscale room. Wish I stayed longer!
Disliked: No real green space on site to walk the dog, but building is beautiful and in the city (very convenient in and out) so it is a minor thing

Bad check in/rude staff

Liked: No problems
Disliked: Room was prepaid…so I only had to pay the $50 incidental fees. The mall Staff at check in charged my card for the room 2x (even though we prepaid) then told me my card declined. Basically screamed it while I was trying to check in…causing others to hear. My husband had to use his card and they charged him again. When I called my bank to see why my card declined, turns out my had been precautionary frozen for fraud protection due to 2 large charges back to back from an out of state location. They suggested I ask the check in staff to refund one of the charges. Went back to the desk and again the check-in male screamed that my card was declining and couldn’t refund the transactions…so now i have to dispute the charges with my bank. It was embarrassing and unprofessional.
