Superb

Great stay!

Liked: I had booked this stay as a gift for my parents they were really pleased. Great location, good breakfast and good size rooms. The staff were really helpful.
Disliked: N/A

Disliked: The room wasn't the best. Paint peeling off the ceiling (room 816)..And the room was very small and not what I have been used to.I would have asked to change if my stay hasn't been brief...

Liked: I have stayed here several times now and the staff are always really friendly and helpful. The hotel is in an excellent location.
Disliked: There was a problem with the toilet, the smell was not pleasant, problems flushing. I think there was a blockage. Had to keep the door shut to keep the smell out of the bedroom. Only had a one night stay and reported this on leaving.I recall there being a water available in reception often flavoured with lemon or cucumber in a glass dispenser, This has disappeared and would be nice to have available when waiting in reception or returning from a long walk.

Liked: Perfect location, amazing views over york,from the room. The breakfast area was lovely and the staff were very attentive
Disliked: The room needed some tlc, walls were incredibly dirty, and the bathroom tiles needed a good clean in some areas The bed pillows were the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept on so had the worst 2 nights sleep
