Disliked: Room lighting was poor.

We had a pleasant stay...

Liked: Breakfast was generally ok but same items everyday got a bit tedious. They could vary e.g. the cereals on offer and pastries etc. Staff were good though. Location of hotel was very good and convenient for town centre.
Disliked: The room was small for one advertised as a 'Principal'. Toilet roll was low grade and a false economy. We had a river view which was nice but noisy at night from the parties across the river . Also the restaurant was closed for evening meals. A bit inconvenient but not a big issue for us. Guests with mobility issues might struggle.

Disliked: False advertising. I expected a double bed not two single beds which made the nights uncomfortable especially as one bed was higher than the other. Additionally there was a lack of transparency for car parking having to pay upfront and then asking for a refund when there isn’t enough spaces in unacceptable

Disappointing room, pleasant hotel.

Liked: Location good, bar staff pleasant. Comfy firm good mattress.
Disliked: The cozy double room was really drab, decor was miserable with many markings on the wall, greys, blacks and an awful colour green which didn't much more well decorated than basement night club. I stayed on a Saturday night and for £170 this was overpriced. I can't rate the restaurant or food as never went but the bar area and general hotel was pleasant just these rooms are not in keeping with the hotels 4 star status.

Short and sweet.

Liked: Continental breakfast was excellent, location excellent.
Disliked: Parking was in the spec as included but not that it was subject to an extra charge. Should be stated. Also signage to parking could be improved, a sign high up on an anonymous building not sufficient.

Satisfactory but not great.

Liked: This is a fairly central. Rooms are adequate.
Disliked: The car park is very tight. And the spaces are limited. I also do not like that there is no access to the hotel from the car park. Long walk to rooms.

Liked: Location is OK. Breakfast is OK
Disliked: By booking I asked a preferance for a twin room. They Answered that depending the time of arrival they block the twin rooms.We arrive at 14:30 h and asked for the twin. And I asked for a walk in shower. There was arranged a double room on Riverside. But: they could manage a twin on street side on floor 1. When we came into the room : it was a double !! And the shower was in a bath !!!Wha an experience!
